Our work for social justice is in line with the social teachings of the Catholic Church.

As part of our ongoing commitment to social justice we undertake various fund raising events to support those less fortunate both in the UK and overseas.

We recently held our Sponsored Walk on the feast day of St Michael's on Friday 1st October 2021 and are hoping to raise enough funds to install a borehole which will provide water to a population of 250,000 people in the village of Mbagbera, Vandeikya , Nigeria.  Access to clean water at the above mentioned village will drastically reduce the prevalence of waterborne diseases. The main target will be to build a borehole which will be powered by photovoltaic energy.  Through this project, both staff and students have; promoted the dignity, shown solidarity and chosen the option of the poor of which the villagers and beyond are beneficiaries.

This is a life changing opportunity and the community of St Michael's is privileged to be able to support this.
