Sponsored Walk 2009

| This sponsored walk marked the beginning of the Building Blocks campaign for justice in Rwanda. That Rwanda is a country with a population predominantly of children (50% of the population is below the age of 16) is well known to us. The continuing tragedy of HIV has continued to impact on the children, many of whom are orphaned far too soon in their lives. Whilst Rwanda does have well organised orphanages, there is little opportunity for cross-over into mainstream society. This where our Building Blocks come in. With this year's proceeds we will build Half-Way Houses, where 16-year old children can begin to reintegrate into society. |
