GCSE Jubilation
Wednesday 25th August, 2010
It is another bumper year for GCSE results. At present, 94% of our outgoing Year 11 students achieved grades A*-C in five or more subjects. For those who achieved the same including both Mathematics and English, the figure is 71%. Both are somewhat higher than the national average. Of course we expected this. Additionally these students achieved our highest ever number of passes at grades A* and A. This is a matter of particular satisfaction. We congratulate our young people in rising to the challenge and look forward to greeting them next week as new members of the Sixth Form.
